Manuscript Submission
Submission of a manuscript implies that the work described has not been published previously; that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities-tacitly or explicitly-at the institution where the work was carried out. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should any claims for compensation arise.

Authors who wish to include figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner for both print and online formats and to include evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their paper. Any material received without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors.

Online Submission
Please follow the "Submit online" link on the right and upload all manuscript files by following the instructions shown on the screen. Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English using proper grammar. English-language manuscripts are generally written in the past tense. A scientific manuscript should be approximately 5,000 words or 17-20 pages, including figures, graphs, and tables (if any).

Recommendation:
Authors submitting manuscripts to JODIEG are advised to use the following reference management tools: Mendeley, Zotero, and EndNote.

Abbreviations
In general, terms should not be abbreviated unless they are used repeatedly and the abbreviation is helpful to the reader. At first mention, use the term in full, followed by the abbreviation in parentheses. Thereafter, use the abbreviation only.

English Language Editing Service
Authors writing in English should consider using a professional editing service. Clear and concise language will help editors and reviewers concentrate on the scientific content of your paper and thereby facilitate the peer-review process. Authors are strongly advised to use an experienced native-speaker language and style editor in their specific field. Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English using proper grammar.

Style Guidelines

Authors are required to prepare manuscripts in accordance with the Journal of Discourse, Innovation, and Empowerment in Gender (JODIEG) manuscript template.

  • Author Name: Arial 12 pt; affiliation: Arial 10 pt and written in English.

For complete formatting instructions and examples, authors should refer to the official JODIEG manuscript template.

Preparing a Submission
1.    Title page: The title page must include the authors' names, a concise and informative title, affiliations, and email addresses.
2.    Abstract: The abstract must be written in both English and Indonesian, with 1.0 line spacing and a maximum of 150 words, and should include the hypothesis, research subjects, methods, and results. Keywords: Please provide 3 to 5 keywords for indexing purposes.
3.    Introduction: The introduction should present the preliminary context, problems, and theory (briefly and sequentially), the general background and literature review (current state of knowledge) as the basis for new research questions, the statement of novelty of the scientific article, the main research problem, and the hypothesis. At the end of the introduction, the purpose of the article must be stated. The scientific-article format does not allow references to be written as in a research report. References should be presented in the literature review to demonstrate the novelty of the scientific article.
4.    Methods: Methods are applied to solve the research problem, including analytical methods. The methods used to address the research problem are described in this section.
5.    Results: This section presents the research results and how they are discussed. The results obtained from the study must be supported by adequate data. The research results and findings should answer the research questions or hypotheses previously stated in the introduction.
6.    Discussion: This section presents the research results and how they are discussed. The results obtained from the study must be supported by adequate data. The research results and findings should answer the research questions or hypotheses previously stated in the introduction.
7.    Conclusion & Implications: This section should be concise, clear, and substantive, based on the research results (maximum 1 page), written in paragraph form (not numbered), and should present the findings as a synthesis of the analysis and research results while highlighting novelty that contributes to the application of psychology.
8.    Acknowledgments (if any). This is a brief statement thanking colleagues, institutions, or specific organizations that contributed to or supported the authors' work.
9.    Author Contribution Statement. All authors must clearly describe their individual contributions to the research and preparation of the manuscript. The statement should specify each author's role, such as conceptualization, research design, data collection, data analysis, drafting the manuscript, and revising the manuscript. The initials of each author should be used to indicate their specific contributions. All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript.
10.    Ethical Approval Statement. Please upload this in the Supplementary File Upload section.
11.    References
The reference list must be arranged alphabetically and chronologically and follow the American Psychological Association Style Guide (APA 7th edition). The use of Mendeley is recommended. The reference list is not a bibliography; therefore, it must include all sources cited in the manuscript and should not include sources that are not used. The reference list should contain all in-text references from sources that are: (a) relevant and primarily primary references, (b) at least 80% current (published within the last 10 years), and (c) a minimum of 25 references.

Publication Process After Acceptance
1.    Accepted Articles: Accepted "in-press" manuscripts will be published online on the journal's publication date (January or August). The manuscript will appear in PDF format only and will be assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), enabling it to be cited and tracked. After publication of the final version of the article (the version of record), the DOI remains valid and may continue to be used to cite and access the article.
2.    Final Proof Check by Authors: After the manuscript has been typeset, the authors will receive an email containing page proofs in DOC and PDF formats. Authors must return the final versions of both documents for publication no later than two weeks after that email. Please note that authors are responsible for all statements made in their work, including changes made during the editorial process; authors must check the proofs carefully.
